Rumors of the upcoming iOS 6 Jailbreak dispelled by iPhone Dev-Team member, MuscleNerd.
MuscleNerd, one of the most recognizable names in the Jailbreak community has put some rumors about the iOS 6 Jailbreak to rest. The iPhone Dev-Team member has tweeted out that the rumors of a Bootrom dump for the iOS 6 Jailbreak, for devices like the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, and iPod Touch 5G, are false.
Bootrom exploits are a way for the iPhone Dev Team to create an iOS Jailbreak that Apple would be unable to patch. The latest Bootrom exploit was used for the iPhone 3GS Jailbreak, since 2010 there have been no Bootrom Jailbreak for any newer devices.
The iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak is currently being worked on, with no release date, nor should we expect the iPhone Dev-Team to speak of a release date. Currently there is an iOS 6 Jailbreak, iOS 6.0.1 Jailbreak, and iOS 6.1 Beta 1 Jailbreak, which are tethered, for pre-A5 devices such as the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4th generation, and iPod Touch 3rd Generation. Devices left out and currently awaited an iOS 6 or iOS 6.0.1 Jailbreak are the iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5G, iPhone 4S, iPad Mini, and the iPad.
