It seems as though the iPad 4G has been Jailbroken and running Cydia.
Just 3 days after release iOS hacker, chpwn, has Jailbroken the iPad 4th generation with proof of it running Cydia. chpwn tweeted out a screenshot, as the Dev Team likes to do, of Cydia running on the iPad 4th gen. Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean that the iPad 4G Jailbreak will be available soon, but it is one of the first steps towards a stable iOS 6, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5G, iPad 3rd gen, iPad 2nd gen, and iPad Mini Jailbreak.
iOS 6.0.1 Jailbreak and iOS 6.1 Jailbreak is now available in tethered form for A4 and lower devices. When the iOS Jailbreak on iOS 6 for A5 (and newer) devices will be released, we don’t know. We do know the Dev Team is hard at work on the iOS 6 Jailbreak and that Jailbreaks can never be predicted since anything can go wrong at any point.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted on the latest news on the iOS 6 Jailbreak for A5 and A6 devices.
