After the huge spike in users Cydia had seen with the Evasi0n Untethered iOS 6.1 Jailbreak, Cydia founder Saurik, has turned off the Cydia payment system for today. Attempting to download any paid packages (i.e. Auxo, Barrel, MyWi) will display the following message on Cydia.
Today is too busy to attempt to purchase things: come back later.
The Cydia servers are currently getting an average 14k hits per second, no wonder the payment system is shut off. Managing that many payments in the Cydia Store after the record breaking Evasi0n Untethered iOS 6.1 Jailbreak would be madness, and probably a ton of trouble. For example, the system could glitch, user would get charged for the package, but the system would think that the user still hasn’t purchased it.
Cydia should be up and running fully over the next few days. We’ll of course keep you updated here on the blog for all of the latest Jailbreak news. We hope that everyone has had a successful Evasi0n Untethered iOS 6.1 Jailbreak day, and hopefully some of you were able to at least get a few tweaks to download.
