The Jailbreak scene is currently heating up as people that are running iOS 6 on their devices are awaiting the Untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak. Recently, we’ve heard that Pod2G has rejoined the Jailbreak team to partially work on the new iOS 6 Jailbreak. In other news the founder of Cydia, Saurik (aka Jay Freeman), has announced that in the past 2 months there have been over 22 million devices with Cydia installed. This new exploit would provide the first iPad Jailbreak in iOS 6 as many are still relying on a jailbreak in iOS 5.X. This would be the first jailbreak for the iPad Mini and the iPhone 5, many new devices will have access to Cydia once a public jailbreak is made available.
Planetbeing, another iOS hacker working on the Untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak, has kept quiet for awhile regarding its status, but broke silence last week tweeting that a lot of good work has been put into the Jailbreak with Pod2G’s return.
Today, the hacker tweeted out that “the future is looking bright for jailbreaking” and that a lot of progress has been made in just the last few days.
Tons of progress the last few days. I think the future is looking bright for jailbreaking.

Once again, as always, those of you waiting for the Untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak, we’re all in the same boat, the best thing to do is simply wait it out. Every major Jailbreak release never has a set release date and things can always change within the last few days, i.e. a bug could be found. We have loads of confirmation from the Dream Team that the Untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak is mostly ready, and should be out shortly. Get your devices ready!
